When you become a Kestrel donor, your gift directly supports our mission to inspire wonder, understanding and connection to the natural world through playful, outdoor, scientific inquiry.

Today, research confirms what used to be common sense – that regular time spent in the company of nature leads to healthier, happier kids. It plays a role in boosting student achievement back in the classroom. It inspires the career paths of future scientists. And it provides a basis for the kind of environmental ethos we so desperately need in the 21st century.

Donate Now

Your contribution makes it possible for kids in Essex County and environs to get outside, pay attention, ask questions, conduct experiments, catch bugs, make treasure maps, get dirty, tell stories, build fires, solve complex problems, and return home with a deeper sense of connection to the world and a sense of joy at knowing they are explorers.

Kestrel generates some earned revenue through program fees, but the price of a good education is expensive. We purposefully keep our prices low so that everyone in the community can afford to participate, which means program fees alone will never cover the full cost of what we do.

If you’d like to support our work, all you need to do is hit the Donate Now button and follow the prompts. It’s quick and it’s easy. Whatever you can spare. If enough people give, it adds up. And it makes all the difference.
