Stories From the Wildside

A Tracking and Nature Storytelling Class

DSC00060.JPG

Spend Friday mornings this winter traipsing through woodlands in search of wildlife stories. Practice tracking animals and reading clues about the life of the forest. Learn techniques for developing characters, drawing readers into a place, and creating intriguing plots.

Create an original fiction story featuring native wildlife and real places, based on your own experiences. Publish your work by putting together a completed written, drawn, or photography based story to be housed at Kestrel and shared with the public, and take home your own copy, too.

This program deliberately encompasses a wide age range in order to build a community of writers with many perspectives, interests and talents. No previous creative writing experience required.
