Today, research confirms what used to be common sense – that regular time spent in the company of nature leads to healthier, happier kids. It plays a role in boosting student achievement back in the classroom. It inspires the career paths of future scientists. And it provides a basis for the kind of environmental ethos we so desperately need in the 21st century. Your contribution makes it possible for kids in Eastern Essex County to get outside and learn natural science through direct experience and connection with the natural world.
Kestrel generates some earned revenue through program fees, but a good education is expensive. We purposefully keep our prices low so that everyone in the community can afford to participate, which means program fees alone will never cover the full cost of what we do.
